Relaxing your hair is a good thing to do. The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
I know I say this all the time, but the most important thing is not to think about what you’re doing to your hair. It’s not that you’re doing it wrong. It’s just that you’re not doing it at all, which is just as bad.
Hair care really should consist of relaxing your hair several times a day. The problem is that if you just wash your hair out or get it out of your face, it can dry out your scalp and cause you to have more itching. Just don’t get out the shower until after the itch is gone.
